At the Junction, we are proud to sponsor Garden Show Ireland at Castle Gardens, Antrim from 13th – 15th June.
The Junction Container Bar, positioned beside the Jubilee Garden will have a new look this year with a purpose built stage with state of the art sound and lighting systems. We have been working hard over the past few weeks with Event Tech Productions NI Ltd to bring the attendees to Garden show a wealth of local musical talent for the whole weekend. The entertainment will cover lots of musical genres so hopefully there is something for all ages and musical tastes.
The stage will be hosted again this year by former Miss Northern Ireland Kaitlyn Clarke who will keep everyone entertained between acts.
Friday will be kicked off by one of Northern Ireland’s foremost operatic sopranos, Anna-Maria Boyle, fresh from her critically acclaimed performance in Les Miserables in The Grand Opera House. Anna-Maria Will bring a selection of musical theatre classics, for your listening pleasure. Anna- Maria will be followed by local singing star Janet Boal. Janet sings a wide range of laid back pop classic from across the decades and always welcomes requests from her audience – so please don’t be afraid to ask! Friday will be finished off by a young man with a big future, Ty Williams. Ty’s set will have a swing feel made up of songs from all the crooners from way back when and if we have any young guests, Ty has the ability to adapt to some Disney classics.
Saturday is a very busy day again opened by Anna-Maria Boyle – soprano, followed by the first appearance by No Strings Attached Ukelele Group. These guys were extremely popular last year with their fun interpretations of a wide range of classics.
Next up on Saturday is the incredible talent of Isla McManus (AKA Isla loves to sing). Isla is already an established star, performing on the biggest of stages in Northern Ireland and beyond. A voice that needs to be heard to be believed.
Our busy Saturday continues with an Irish Dancing Display from the award winning dancers at Judith Keys School of Irish Dancing.
To finish Saturday with a party, we have two of the finest Tribute acts in Northern Ireland.
Firstly, we have the new guy on the block, Wayne Rodgers as Neil Diamond. Wayne has a wealth of experience on the Northern Ireland music scene. This year, he took the leap of faith to turn a lifetime admiration of Neil Diamond into a tribute career. The vocal likeness is exceptional, you won’t be disappointed.
Rounding off Saturday is simply the most entertaining and best tribute act on the planet. Kirsty Coard as Dolly Parton Tribute is talent, fun and attention to detail in equal measures. You will leave entertained and with a huge smile on your face after seeing Kirsty’s Show. Saturday’s entertainment will run all the way to 6.00 PM so please factor that into your visit to Garden Show Ireland.
Sunday is a very chilled feel opening with the No Strings attached Ukelele group followed by local singing sensation Holly Nadine. Holly has been singing at functions at The Junction for a few years now and never disappoints. She is vocally brilliant and has a repertoire to cover all tastes. Holly released her first original single last year, recorded in Canada.
To finish off the weekend we have an absolute treat. We have two of the leads in Les Miserables and The Sound of Music, Anna-Maria Boyle and Samuel Moore performing as duo Da Capo (From the beginning). Two exceptional voices bringing you musical theatre classics from the big shows combined with some pop offerings. Expect to hear Bring him home, The Prayer, Defying Gravity and other huge hits. Two vastly experienced singers coming together especially for the occasion of Garden Show Ireland. Their vocal ability is guaranteed to give you goosebumps.
Please take some time during your visit to Garden Show Ireland to pull up a pew, take advantage of the food and drinks offerings available and watch the talents of all the artists hand picked for your listening pleasure.
