Thank you for entering The Junction 5K, which takes place on Sunday 8th March 2026 at The Junction. Please see below important information regarding the races

𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗡𝗨𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡:

Race Numbers and T-Shirts can be collected in advance from Visitor Information Centre at The Junction (Opposite Costa Coffee) at the following times:

• THIS Saturday 28th February: 10am – 5pm

• Thursday 5th March: 10am – 7pm

• Friday 6th March: 10am – 7pm

• Saturday 7th March: 10am – 5pm

• Race-Day, Sunday 8th March: 9.15am -11.15am

We encourage you to collect your Race Number in advance of race day to help everything run smoothly on race day.

Please note that the t-shirt size ordered at registration can not be changed at the collection point.

𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗡𝗨𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗦:

• If you have selected postage option for your Race Number, it will be posted over the coming days.

• T-shirts will need to be collected at the Visitor Information Centre either during above times or after the race.

𝗥𝗨𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗕𝗦 / 𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗣𝗦:

𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘𝗦:

• The 1k Fun Run starts at 11.30am sharp

• The 5k (Sub 20-minutes) starts at 11.45am sharp.

• The 5k (20 minutes plus) starts at 12.15pm sharp.

𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘:

• The start line is located behind Murdocks Builders Merchants at The Junction. Please assemble in FRONT of Murdocks Builders Merchants in the GREEN Car Park, at least ten minutes before your race start time.

• Marshals will advise you when to go around to the Start Line.

• Please do not cut across the path of runners in earlier races on your way to Start Line.

𝗖𝗔𝗥 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚:

• FREE Car-parking is available in the Red and Purple Car Parks at The Junction. Car Parking should be accessed via the main entrance to The Junction on the A26 Ballymena Road.

• Please note that entrances at the back of The Junction and via Randalstown Road will be closed for the duration of the event.

𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗦𝗛 𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘:

• Finishers medals will be awarded to all race finishers wearing their race number bib.

• Water and snacks will be distributed at the finish line.

𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗭𝗘 𝗚𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗚:

• Sub-20 Prize Giving will take place after the race on the Public Square area (near Greggs)

• Age Category Prize Giving will take place after the main 5k Race on the Public Square area (near Greggs)

𝗧𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗘𝗧𝗦:

• Public toilets are available next to the Visitor Information Centre at The Junction.

𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦:

• There are no water stations on the route. Runners should bring their own water, if required. Water will be provided at the finish line.

𝗕𝗔𝗚 𝗗𝗥𝗢𝗣:

• There is no Bag Drop facility available.

𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 𝗔𝗜𝗗:

• St John Ambulance will be providing First Aid assistance at the event.

𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗣𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗦:

• Special discount vouchers will be available for all race finishers. This includes 10% off promotions at Nike & Asics*

About the Event

We’re proud to launch the FIRST EVER Junction 5k, hosted at The Junction, Antrim, in partnership with Run-Anon Running Club and Team McKillop Coaching.

This exciting new event reflects The Junction’s ongoing commitment to supporting health, wellbeing and the local community – and we’re delighted to bring a professionally organised, fast and flat 5k race to Antrim for runners of all abilities.

Whether you’re aiming for a new personal best, running your first ever 5k, or simply getting involved for the atmosphere, this event is designed to be welcoming, inclusive and community-focused. We’re also introducing a 1K Family Fun Run, making it a brilliant day out for all ages and abilities.

Venue, Access & Facilities

The Junction 5K will be hosted at The Junction, Antrim, with the event hub located on the Public Square, start line at the Rear of Murdocks Buildings Merchants and finish area on the Public Square beside Greggs.

Getting Here
The Junction is conveniently located just off the M2, making it easily accessible by car from across Northern Ireland. Click here for directions from your location.

Parking
Free on-site parking is available across the scheme, with ample spaces for participants and visitors.

Facilities

• Toilet facilities – These are located at The Visitor Information Centre

• A wide range of food and drink operators on site, including Subway, Greggs, McDonald’s, Nando’s, Costa, Starbucks, Popeyes, The Stone Hound and Burger King

• Seating areas are available on the public square and around the mall

• First aid provision at the finish line and along the route

What you’ll get

 Junction 5K Race

All 5K participants will receive a Junction 5K technical T-shirt, an official Junction 5K finisher’s medal, and post-race refreshments.

Runners who complete the 5K in under 20 minutes will also have the opportunity to compete for prizes, including:

• Fastest 3 male overall

• Fastest 3 female overall

• Team prizes

• Age-category awards

Junction 1k Fun Run

All 1K participants will receive a Junction finisher’s medal and post-run refreshments.

Route Maps

Route maps are now available for both the Junction 5K and the 1K Family Fun Run showing the full course layout, start and finish points, and key route information.  Both routes are Flat, Fast and Traffic Free.

Both routes will be fully supported with marshals and clear signage throughout, ensuring a safe, well-managed and easy-to-follow experience for all participants.

For added safety and peace of mind, first aid cover will be available at the finish line and at designated points along the route.

5k Route

The 5K course begins with a large outer loop marked in red, followed by a smaller inner loop marked in green, before finishing with a short final yellow section to the finish line where Medals and refreshments will be available.
